Wastewater reuse systems |
Treated wastewater (effluent) is that was treated in a wastewater treatment plant. The wastewater treated for reuse in Israel is predominantly used for agricultural irrigation. Decentralized effluent plants now rival the efficiency of large plants while avoiding the significant risks of overbuilding. Siting plants near the point of use solves many infrastructure issues, including the need to build lengthy, costly separate pipeline networks. The design of centralized and decentralized effluent systems are similar to a design of water supply system but must insure the standards of safe use, protection of the environment and sustainability. |
